Alumni Publications and Social Media Submission Process
In an effort to increase chapter and regional submissions to Alumni Publications, the National Alumni Communications Zone welcomes Alumni Chapters and Regional Alumni Executive Boards to submit articles for the National Alumni eNewsletter, the Alumni Extension website, nsbe-ae.org, and advertisements on Alumni social media sites.

National Alumni eNewsletter
The Alumni eNewsletter (eNews) is distributed to alumni and collegiate members on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Submissions for the Alumni eNews must be submitted by the 1st Thursday of the month in which you would like to your post to be presented to the Society. Submissions will be included based on receipt of acceptable submissions (first come, first served). The National Alumni Communications Zone reserves the right to edit a submission, post a submission on a different AE publication, and refuse a submission. Please note, only one approved photo per submission and your photo must be submitted with your article. Submissions will be converted to PDF.

The typical eNews article is about a topic that would interest the entire Society. Regional specific articles will be forwarded to that respective Region. It will be up to the Regional Communications Zone to include in their regional publications.
Alumni Extension Website Submissions
The Alumni Extension website the “go to” place for the latest Alumni Extension information! Submission to the website will be posted once approved by the National Alumni Communications Zone. The National Alumni Communications Zone reserves the right to edit submissions, post on a different AE publication, and to refuse a submission. Please note, only one approved photo per submission and your photo must be submitted with your article. Submissions will be converted to .PDF prior to posting on the website.
Website submissions must have a specific and appropriate location on the AE or conference website.
Examples:
- News: text and 1 (optional) graphic
- Blog: text and 1 (optional) graphic
- Downloads: one (1) file only
- Other locations: text and 1 (optional) graphic
- Timeline: 1 week from receipt of acceptable submission to post on to website
Alumni Extension Social Media
We will gladly advertise your NSBE event on our Facebook page and Twitter account. Indicate on your submission if you would like a link to your information sent out via social media and indicate which platforms (Twitter and/or Facebook). If you want specific language in your post please include or language will be created for you
Twitter Guidelines
Remember only a maximum of 140 characters can be posted!
Provide the full website, we will shorten links for you
Photo Limit: 1 photo per submission. Photo must be supplied with the submission
You can also send a tweet directly to @nsbeae and we will RT on your behalf (after a grammar/formatting check).
Please allow 1 week from receipt of acceptable submission for Facebook and Twitter. The National Alumni Communications Zone reserves the right to edit submissions, post on a different AE publication, and to refuse a submission.
Photo Policy
A picture submitted for AE publications, websites, and social media may be rejected if it:
- reflects AE members negatively
- is not of satisfactory “print” or “display” quality
